Visionary, trustworthy, collaborative and impactful are the values that underpin our work. We build relationships before buildings to positively transform communities, while reducing our impact on the environment.

Bridges is a specialist private markets investor. For over 20 years, we’ve been investing in solutions that support the transition to a more inclusive and sustainable economy. We are driven by a clear conviction: that building a better future for people and the planet is also a unique opportunity to create lasting economic value.

We’re Urban Symbiotics, a company that loves and has built its reputation by developing unique ideas in collaboration with local communities. We are obsessed with designing and delivering better places that foster life. We ultimately believe that it is only by truly engaging communities and understanding how people live and aspire, that the development of unique integrated and relevant spaces can take place.

Bath Focus Group Update

Latest News

August 2024 Edition

Pines Way Redevelopment Community Newsletter

Hello,

We are excited to bring you the latest update on the Pines Way Redevelopment project. As always your input and involvement have been, and continue to be, invaluable to us. Here are some of the key activities and progress we have made over the past few months:

Community Engagement and Focus Groups

We have been actively engaging with community groups including several local organisations such as Headway, Swallow, Bath Toys, Cards and Games, the Polish Community Group, Percy Centre Active Play, Pegasus Leat, and the Royal National Institute of Blind People Guided Walk. These discussions ensure that your voices are heard and reflected in our plans. A big thank you to all of those involved in helping us facilitate workshops and all the wonderful participants that gave up their time to talk to us.

Design Development in Response to Community Feedback

In response to the comments and suggestions received at our last community event, our design team has been hard at work refining the project plans. We appreciate your constructive feedback and are pleased to inform you that many of your ideas are being incorporated into the design. Our goal is to create a space that everyone can be proud of.

Meetings with the Council’s Planning Team

We have met with the Council’s Planning Team to discuss various topics related to the Pines Way Redevelopment project. These discussions included sustainability initiatives, landscaping and highways improvements, architectural design, and material choices. Feedback from the Council is being incorporated into our plans to ensure the project aligns with community needs and regulatory standards.

Site Works Progress

On the ground, we have been repairing and painting the hoarding along the walkway through the site and conducting archaeological trial pits. Landscape maintenance will resume in the near future. These works improve the site’s appearance, while also informing the development of our proposals.

Upcoming Community Engagement Event

We are pleased to announce that our next community engagement event is scheduled for Friday, 6th September, at Green Park Station. Join us to celebrate your invaluable involvement in the project and see the latest plans we have developed together.

Thank you for your continued support and participation. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming event as we continue to work together to make Pines Way a thriving community.

Kind regards,

The Pines Way Redevelopment Team

Community Engagement Success

Over the past few months, we have had the pleasure of hosting engaging discussions and meaningful conversations with several local community groups as part of our inclusive engagement programme. These discussions have provided us with invaluable insights that will help guide the redevelopment of Pines Way.

We are incredibly grateful to all the individuals and organisations that participated. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the following groups for their help in organising and participating in these focus groups:

  • Headway

  • Swallow

  • Bath TCG

  • The Polish Community Group

  • Percy Centre Active Play

  • Pegasus Leat

  • RNIB Guided Walk

A special mention goes to the brilliant team at the Percy Community Centre for introducing and facilitating the sessions with their wonderful community groups, Rick and the Pegasus Leat team for hosting our latest workshop, and Steve Hyde from the RNIB for his excellent guided walk.

Your contributions have been instrumental in shaping the vision for Pines Way, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration as we move forward with the project.
